Sara Sharma
“Sara was off to a fantastic start of grade 5. It was on Thanksgiving weekend that we received the devastating news that she collapsed at school due to a terminal brain tumor. Sara being Sara, was more concerned about the turkey, and whether our extended family dinner was cancelled. This is exactly how Sara continued to live her life for the next 10 months. She craved making memories and valued family time with her sister, cousins, uncles and aunts and her grandparents. Through the heartbreak she still experienced so much joy. She found the silver lining in moments, always sporting the biggest smile when her friends popped in for a visit. She could sit for hours and listen to Taylor Swift and play video games with her little sister. When she wasn’t busy making memories, she was busy eating. Sara was a foodie through and through. She had a huge love for homemade burgers, sushi, Chinese food and anything sweet! She needed those calories to keep up with her busy schedule of being a jazz and ballet dancer, skater, swimmer and runner on the school track team. Sara lived life to the fullest, and her gentle nature, compassion and caring for others continues to shine to this day. She is so loved, and will be forever missed by all those that had the honor of knowing her. ”
