Kalani Baisden

Kalani Maya Baisden, affectionately known as “Lani” was born to Shenai and Kalan Baisden at Sharp Grossmont on December 3, 2013 in San Diego, California. Kalani attended Brooklyn CDC and Bottles to Books preschools. At school she grew to enjoy playing with magna-tiles, swinging on the monkey bars, doing puzzles, coloring, riding tricycles and dancing to music.
Lani earned her angel wings on January 3, 2019 from adrenocortical carcinoma cancer. She was holding her mommy’s hand and surrounded by family at Rady’s Children’s Hospital. Kalani was a fighter and fought until her last breath. Kalani leaves her footprints on many hearts. She will forever be remembered by her infectious smile, beautiful brown eyes and contagious laugh. Kalani never had any trouble speaking her mind. Kalani was known for her sweet and sour attitude. And held everyone to their word. Kalani is the light of lives and the star of our hearts. Kalani leaves us smiling through our tears. She was joy personified. Please spread her message of love, forgiveness, laughter, dance, strength and be good to one another.
